Direct Animal Care & Enrichment:

1. Gentle Dog Walking & Exercise: Providing appropriate walks tailored to senior mobility levels.

2. Socialization & Companionship: Spending quiet time petting, brushing, or just sitting with dogs, which is especially important for reducing stress in special needs or older animals.

Foster Program Support:

1. Foster Home Recruitment: Helping find and screen potential foster families suitable for senior/special needs dogs.

2. Foster Support: Acting as a buddy or contact point for foster homes, delivering supplies (food, medication, bedding), and offering assistance.

3. Transport for Foster Dogs: Driving dogs to/from vet appointments, adoption events, or between foster homes.

Adoption Support:

1. Adoption Counseling: Talking with potential adopters to find the right match, explaining the specific needs of senior or special needs dogs.

2. Application Processing: Reviewing adoption applications and potentially conducting reference checks or interviews.

3. Meet-and-Greets: Facilitating introductions between dogs and potential adopters.

4. Adoption Event Support: Setting up, handling dogs, talking to the public, and processing paperwork at adoption events.

5. Photography/Videography: Taking appealing photos and videos of adoptable dogs for online profiles.

Administrative & Communications:

1. Help maintain records (adoptions, fosters, medical info, volunteer hours).

2. Responding to Inquiries: Answering emails or phone calls about adoption, fostering, or volunteering.

3. Social Media & Website: Assisting with posting updates, adoptable dogs, event information.

4 Thank You Notes: Writing notes to donors, adopters, or other volunteers.

Fundraising & Outreach:

1. Event Assistance: Helping plan, set up, and run fundraising or community awareness events.

2. Community Tabling: Representing Hugs for Harry at local events, providing information and collecting donations

3. Donor Outreach: Assisting with mailings or calls to supporters.
